most martial arts,Hap Ki Do is a complete system teaching kicks, punches, pressure point techniques,thows,joint locks,weapons,free
fighting,ki and meditation.
Many other martial arts are "hard" they rely on physical power
and are offense oriented.Hap Ki Do is "soft" and defensive emphasizing throws,twists and pressure point techniques.
Other martial arts emphasize tournament,street fighting,competitiveness.Hap
KI Do enphasizes self-discipline and personal development.
Hap Ki Do minimizes injuries with techniques that completly
subdue the opponent.In order to defend against attacks,Hap Ki Do Teaches corresponding offensive techniques.For instance,
before teaching defense against kicks and punches, kicks and punches are tought.Before learning defenses against weapons,
students must learn how to use those weapons.

Hap Ki Do is a complete self-defense system, it incorporates the redirection of force
found in Aikido and Jujitsu, the devastating joint lock and throws found in chiness systems, and the kicking techniques of
Tae kwon do.Hap Ki Do incrporates both "hard" and "soft" techniques.
Aikido: Martial art are studied for self-defense and self-improvement. The basic movements
of Aikido are circular in nature and most attacks are linear.The practioner harmonizes with,rather than confronts, an aggressive
line and converts it into a circular motion that renders attackers helpless.Then instead of using potentially crippling kicks
or punches, the Aikidoist betters his or her self without belittling others.
Jujitsu : Jujitsu encompasses throws,locks, and striking techniques,with stong emphasis
on throws,locks,and defensive techniques.It is also characterized by in fighting and close work.It is a circular,hard/soft,
external style.
Tae kwon do : ( the way of kicking and punching) is characterized by extersive use
of high standing and jump kicks as well as punches and is practiced for sport,self-defense, and spiritual development.Training
in tae kwon do is carried out by learing individual techniques of kicking, practiced in combined series of techniques in ttaditional
sets.
